I wasn't aware of the "return to England" factor,
Older people wishing they saw more of their offspring and grandchildren.

Been pondering your comment on "Now is a good time to buy in Wales" and wondering what your thinking is on that? .
Only that I see more sensibly priced property of the type I like, so I'm imagining that realism is more common across the board.

Understands now. I have come across a couple of old people who are in process of selling their place to go back nearer to adult children/grandchildren.

Want to see the cheapest house* available for sale in London?

    http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-29662344.html?premiumA=true

Well it's the cheapest I could find on rightmove anyway.

And as a bonus I just noticed the EA blurb...

"There are two garden areas, one to the front of the property and one to the back making this a unique purchase opportunity."

Because obviously there is no other property that you could possibly buy with two, yes two garden areas, one to the front of the property and one to the back. What a bunch of twazzocks.

    * excl shared ownership and auction guide prices and counting this as a "house".

Ah, bless. He (or she) clearly has an artistic soul in crisis. Will he (or she) be condemned forever to be an EA? Or will he (or she) be talent spotted by the proprietor of an up market interior decor magazine and rescued from a life of tawdry compromise?

Why has that front bedroom window got sticky tape across the outside?

I really like that house, what would put me off is the cr*p the EA has written in the description!!
Also the shared passage, as I have seen some terraces where the neighbour walks into "your" side or garden from the passage into their back.
With the artistic photography and the codswallop description, I'd be put off initially if I was looking for property in Lancaster.

let's hope whoever buys into the wine swigging lifestyle does not want to use the toilet in the middle of the night as not only is it a long way away from the bedroom but according to the floorplan there is no door into it anyway so presumably you have to climb in via a window from the "garden" outside, which to be fair makes it more useful when enjoying those BBQs about which the EA is so keen

    Talking of shared passageways...
    http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-43158394.html

The EA only describes how to find this cottage from the rear (because it's easier!) but you can actually access it from the High Street - which involves going down a passageway, into a courtyard - then selecting the correct door in the courtyard into another passageway which is shared with the neighbours, and in which you can find the (not used) front door!
