£5 and over - No way, you have to be joking - let us know where you live!
I was just in Paris, and beer was 7 euros (about £6.20) a pint! We still had a couple, on holiday after all :)

Have a look at these prices from Maidstone Kent. I couldn't believe it. I know that it is being touted as a "Bierkeller", but you must have more money than sense to drink there.

I had a nice pint of Adnams in a pub in Biddenden back in August and it was just over £3.

I live and drink town centre but don`t use Wetherspoons as it`s little more than a foodhall. I pay £2.59 for Carling and from £2.80 to £3.00 for tennants lager. I tend to drink in the cheaper pubs as they are nearest to home. 35ml Smirnoff for around £1.70 and £1.00 for a can of diet coke, drinking at home not such a great deal now since the nanny state mentality kicked in , in Scotland, it didn`t just hit the cheap cider drinkers, no cheap spirit offers for us £4 to £5 more per bottle than across the border.

I'm in North London and expect to pay £4.50 for a Heineken. In my local Wetherspoons it is £3.10 and cheaper on a Monday

    I haven't paid £6...yet.

Peroni in well-to-do Primrose Hill was £5.70

Stopped going to the pub when the demands of parenthood made it unenjoyable and now the kids are all grown up I would choke at paying the price of a decent pint.

Beer is reasonably priced here in Lincolnshire, around £2 a pint and we get daily meal specials such as burger, chips and a pint £5.99 or pie, mash and pint £5.99.
