Mswan, I think for me it has to be a certain day or I will end up forgetting. Plus as my payments will most likely be small one (loose change etc) then I will need to actually go to the bank in order to pay them so I will have to do mine on a Wednesday (The day I dont work in my normal job) I have also written a log in the notes' section of my diary listing each wednesday date so I can fill in the extra payment I have made and this will help me to keep on track with it all. Plus I will be able to see how much extra I have been paying. I did my first on eon Friday (still on hols from work at mo :) ) But will do next week's on Wednesday.
For those who dot know me yet, my name is Vikki. My income and expenditure are pretty much exact to the penny so finding extra money to pay into debts is incredibly hard. Although, my payments won't be large I am hoping that by starting this thread and keeping it updated we can help to inspire each other. My payments will come from an extra income I can find, mystery shops, cashback sites, surveys, ebay etc etc. There will b occasions where I need to use some of the extra I earn for additional spending (my income doesnt cover things like putting money away for unforseen circumstances, boiler breakdown, front door lock dreaking etc etc nor does it cover car maintenance. So occasionally I may need to put it towards something el, but will still put something towards the extra payment every week.
My hubby is not very supportive of things like this as he doesnt see the point so I tend to keep it to myself and will not tell him about things lik cashback sites etc so if I get a decent amount built up in one of my sites I will transfer it to my bank account and then use it for this.
Good luck to everyone who is taking part in this challenge. I really hope we all make a good dent in our debts this year and remember: the more we pay, the less we owe, the less we owe, the quicker we get rid of it :)
Happy New year to all of my new friends on here, I class you all as friends and appreciate your support. x

I am sooo excited I've just opened a topcashback account and done some of the free cash back things but being very sceptical I kind of thought it was likely to either not work or be soo much work it wasn't worth it but no, my account is now showing that I hav about £30 in there, waiting for it to be confirmed but the cashbacks I've done are at least showing. I can't believe it.

As soon as tht can be removed I will use it towards some of my debts as my extra payment. x

    :j

Logging on again today to find some more. xxxx

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL. x

I would love to join this. Do I need to do anything to join this??

I owe approx £22,000 in unsecured debts. I am on a debt management plan. I reckon I should have paid my debts off by 2015, but it seems so far away and I want to try and pay off my debts sooner rather than later.

Any additional groups like this will hopefully really help me to focus.

    Thank you.

  • Can I join too please? I'm doing really well on the make £10 per day challenge, but since DH had an accident last June we have been on sick pay/Income Support & now ESA, and most of what I've been making just gets swallowed up by normal living costs, minimum payments and the recent festive period. I like the idea of making an extra payment a week to make sure at least some of our cash goes towards debt reducing.
    Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
