Mixed feelings on this ,glad the taxpayer is not picking up the bill ,,but those responsible for building it have a lot to answer for."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0 -
The money has to come from somewhere. You'll pay for it through your car and house insurance.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

What are people doing building houses on traditional bonfire sites?Little-Pengelly added: "The building is fully insured and these repairs will happen."
Well said Emma. They can just accept the increased premiums.
Or... how about we just stop them building the monstrosity there? No. Forget it. Can't see Emma turning her back on the UDA support that helped get her elected.0 -
I was about to write that she'd probably get elected without their endorsement, but I suppose there's nothing to stop someone changing their name to Lundy Burns, and standing for the Bonfires Party. A few hundred votes might be enough to ruin it for her if there was a close run election.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

Didn't she already change her name. Will they let her do it another time?0

Pengelly sounded a bit too different, a bit Cornish?“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

The logic around it all baffles me.
Bonfire going to set building on fire - so we'll spray water on building to try and stop that from happening instead of putting bonfire out.
I understand the whole not wanting to interfere with "loyalist cultural expression" but at some point common sense should take over!"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."0 -
Well, indeed, and the sensible action was to avoid a riot.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

"Has came" - the same grammatical gaffe. You are outsider and I claim my £5.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0
