    To use Guineapigsqueaks/Sa1sysoo words “A new thread for declutterbugs in 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019!"

I made a fairly good start in 2018 but 2019 is THE YEAR that I finally get to grips with a full declutter - I would like to have NO rooms/cupboards/drawers of Doom & I would like to have a revamped bathroom & fully decorated house My DH is going to be very busy

Plenty of options available on numbering the clutter out

2019 in 2019 or 52 in 52 weeks even 365 in 365 days & if you are feeling really adventurous a la basketcase - you can weigh the clutter out

Whichever you choose or you may choose not to number, we would love to hear both your success stories & your ways/methods of decluttering - they may not have worked for you but they may work for someone else

I am hoping that everyone who posted on the 2018 thread will also post on the 2019 thread

Welcome one and all and happy decluttering!

    MrsSD

P.S. Hope this works as it is my very first attempt at starting a Thread

Not had time to post but some decluttering has been done.

996-999 books to League of Friends shop
1000-1001 a picture and it's broken frame. The picture was ok and cheap and I won't buy another frame for it.
    1002 a broken lid box
    1003 work journal recycled
    1004-1008 plastic files to work
    1009 cardboard recycled
    1010 paperwork shredded
    1011 coat of DH
    1012 a gift bag recycled
    1013 a school report of DS1
1014 emails deleted and unsubscribed from more
1015 accidentally deleted all texts from my phone!

    I have made 1000.

I probably won't meet my target as it involves 10 items a day but will give it a go.

Good heavens MrsSD - that was a drastic bit of decluttering! I'm pleased you got home without further incident and got replacement glasses so quickly. I would have had a headache in no time if it had been me.

    1. SMALL TASKS WILL BE DONE ASAP
    2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
    3. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
    4. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S ?’
    5. IF I WAS STARTING FROM SCRATCH, WOULD I BUY THIS?
    6. BE LIKE A POSTAGE STAMP - STICK TO ONE THING UNTIL YOU GET THERE

Friday was another bright & breezy day with clear blue skies & sunshine. DH drove me to P.O. to pick up a parcel - DH’s new project - a coffee grinder. He then started on the hose pipe box. I cleared down a few programmes from my planner. Took the 2 loads of washing off the line, folded & put away. Walked to sm & saw a dozen plus Greylag Geese, a dozen plus Canada geese, 2 swans, 2 coots, 2 mallards, a tufted duck, a crested grebe & dozens of seagulls. Dinner was pork steaks, mash & green beans. The correct celebs got through to the Masterchef semi finals

3349 - 3364 Four drinks cans, glass bottle & metal cap, 3 lots of cardboard packaging, cardboard box, 3 booklets, 0.5” paperwork, 2 plastic pots, plastic pot & lid - Recycled
3365 - 3368 Bag of kitchen detritus, 2 lots of plastic packaging, 0.25” shredding - Binned

    Well Done: villagelife through the 1000 barrier - how about making your next target 1250 I see you did almost 2 days of decluttering in one day ; excellent work Chocolatedrinker blazing through the 2,000’s ; Cherryfudge I am lucky that I can function without my glasses but do need to be in my usual environment ; you are just teasing now Barny1979 - 950 beckons ; almost to 500 GreenQueen - just a little burst of decluttering required ;

Keep up the good work everyone

Thanks for the support MrsSD. I will aim for 1250 but on a roll at the moment.

    1034-1071 records to a friend.
    1072-1073 photo albums thrown away
1074-1075 some of the piles of photos sorted and some thrown away.

I have also moved stuff to the shed so have noticed an improvement in the house which is motivating..

I haven't done much the last couple of days: yesterday I weeded a garden run containing my little bay tree, sadly threw out a bucket of cyclone corms which had filled with water and killed the plants (which will teach me to keep in top of transplanting, I hope) answered another little patch of border. The day before I finished a bag of compost and got rid of 4 bags of bulbs that had gone soft. I managed to save a few bulbs - same problem as above. Also 5 bits of paper gone.
There won't be much this weekend as I'll be at work till tomorrow morning, then back at work in the afternoon - maybe see you all on Monday?I

LoL . I never go on holiday without a spare pair Mrs SD. I broke a pair falling over in San Francisco and lost a pair canoing on a river in Canada. We overturned when a gust of water forced us into branches at the side. We tried to stop ourselves hitting the branch and tipped over.

The reading will be a winter project when I can't get out on the allotment.

I have done no decluttering since we came back this week but we have cleared DD room out completely and are laying floor and redecorating I hope someone takes the carpet I have taken up.

Lots of stuff will go as furniture and my craft supplies from the RoD gets moved over. Once done we are going to decorate the RoD and set it up as a guest room. The Room of Doom is on it's last weeks

Yay, I found the paperwork for my first operation (knee) but still not for other 2 but I only have 2 hips and they are both done now. Have appointment at hospital in months time to start the ball rolling and potential op in Nov., which will suit as I will be back home for Xmas. And yes Mrsd I did get rid of some paperwork too, good oh. Have finally managed to get my PC attached to internet but seem to have de-cluttered Win10 although I am on Win7 at the moment. Still work to be done but little at a time. If I had got a man in I would have decluttered about £40. Onward and upward.xx
