    May i join I'm not in debt but have a lot to save for

    Christmas - Goal is £300 1% = £3.00
    Emergency Fund- Goal is £1,000 1% = £10.00
    Wedding = £5,000 goal (but £2,500 for this year) 1% = £50.00

    My current standings are;
    Christmas - 8% completed
    Emergency- 6% completed
    Wedding - 5% completed

    353.50 paid so far this year. I got inpatient waiting for direct debit so set up an online payment to hubby's c card. It was a nightmare to set up. Tried to pay over automatic phone line first but option no longer available. No wonder people stop paying. Anyhow it's set up now so on the plus side I can make mini payments as well now via internet banking.
    Also last of c cards was cut up in Oct and we are still fed and watered. On target for 6 or 7 % by end of the year.

  • #6 checking in with 2% taking me to 8%

    Very slow at the moment as 15/2 will be our first decent chunk of income since Christmas - why is January so long?

  • Hi Rexelpink, welcome :) I post every time I hit 1%. It means I post often, but every once in a while I see an older post of mine and it's so motivating to know I'm in a better position this day and so will be even more so each day going ahead.

    Today I came back from work to find four ebay items had sold. Three were only 2.99, leaving me £1.50ish profit, but the fourth was almost £20 profit. Jumped up two %!

    With £114 as 1% I am finding this quite tough.
    Got some stuff on eBay - currently bidding total is £12.69 - still got a way to meet that first 1%!
    Staring debt - June 2013 - £21,000
    Current debt - February 2018 - £11,378.60

    Emergency fund £500 / 100%

  • Not saving for emergency funds.

    Added £4 to my Christmas fund, that total is £36 (11%)
