sounds like a claim for denied boarding (I am assuming from your post that the flight is going as scheduled today but without all the booked passengers)

You should be entitled to claim €250 compensation from the airline. You 'should' be ok with the taxi charge on sending in your receipt but there will be nothing separate for lost earnings

    Iberia's email address
My wife and son were delayed by 4.5 hours going to Colombia with Iberia.
    I emailed
infoib@iberia.es to ask for compensation but I think this is the wrong email address as other people have had problems with this address.
Does anyone know the right email address for Iberia? I did spend 30 minutes looking for it.

    Hi Their all,
I shall post on this main site the following details all of which are depicted on this main forum website, but I shall also post for reference on the Iberia forum website.
I have finally won my case after 2.5 years against Iberia, first initiated in December 2010. I finally received my cheque today, (23/5/2013), after the District judge finally approved the Tomlin Order on the 7/5/2013. Part of the Order was non disclosure, however all the information is already in the Public Domain on the website, including my final offer for settlement on page 268 #5346. So the full details are their to be viewed, and all prior to the Court approved, signing of the Tomlin order on the 7/5/2013. So after all that they settled without a full Court Hearing after receiving my very comprehensive case file.
    For those wishing to read the full case history, I list all the following pages for reference:- Page 101,#2106, Page 110,#2187, Page 165,#3285, Page 168, #3345, Page 196 #3917, Page 208 #4512, Page 241 #4819, Page 250 #4983, Page 265 #5286, Page 266 #5303, Page 268 #5346, Page 312 #6239.

    Little Planet Airlines
    Hello,
I apologise if this is posted in the wrong place, but I have had awful login problems & then lostvtheborigional thread I was going to post on
My daughter & her boyfriend were flying out to Sidari from Manchester with Small planet Airlines in Aug & they had a 24hr & 30 min delay at Manchester in that time they were mostly kept @the airport with no offer of vouchers for food or drink, not enough pillows or blankets. They were eventually taken to a hotel over night.
They have tried to claim from insurance, got offered 40, & Olympic Holidays offered them a 100 between them which was rejected.
Small Planet too told them to go to their insurer.
There is as you can imagine a lot more to this, we'll about three a4 pages, but all in all can the claim & is it to Small Planet
I have put this on another board too but had no replies, so would be so grateful for any help please

Small Planet consists of two airlines with the same name, one is based in Poland, one in Lithuania, I suspect there is no address in the UK at all. The law does not make operators liable for these claims, although there is something to be said for doing so. It is alleged the man behind the airlines has previously been involved in other airline failures and the chances of getting even so much as a written reply are I suspect very poor. You might like to write to Small Planet if you have an address and say you will sue but if they follow the usual pattern they will close down at the end of October and your money will be wasted

    TAP airlines
Are TAP covered by compensation claims. 4 of us flew 6 years ago in 2007 from Gatwick to Faro and scheduled flight cancelled. Flew about 12 hours later but first to Lisbon where we had to change planes and wait for local connection to Faro. Don't have any paperwork now nor flight numbers

    Olympic Holidays Lack of Aeroplane!
Not posted on a forum before so apologies if I'm putting it in the wrong section?!
We booked a 2 week package holiday with Olympic Holidays in Agios Nikolaos Crete (30th July to 13th August 2013). Arrive at Gatwick (supposed to be flying with Small Planet) to find Small planet saying they had not been chartered to fly that particular flight (even though our tickets told us so, and staff at Gatwick thought they were too). Then followed several hours of discussions and phone calls before a flight was finally agreed with a different airline. We then had to wait for that plane to be bought over from Milan. We were originally supposed to fly at 09:55 and eventually took off at 14:16. I'd paid extra for earlier flights (easier on my young kids) and had paid extra to reserve seats - none of which stood.
Who do I complain to? Due to the change in carrier, I'm unsure how best to submit a complaint! Can anyone help?!

Well if Sam Air they are Slovakian but in the EU however contact is going to be difficult. Really you should start your claim against them - don't suppose you still know the flight number?
  • SarahLiz
Yes I kept the boarding card. Flight number: CCS3036. So I should start with them even though they were drafted in at the last minute?
    Thanks

This may be a difficult case, you had no apparent contract with Sam Air(absolutely never heard of them before and I have been in the business for 25 years) and they will say there was no delay because they hadn't intended flying that flight anyway. According to the fount of all knowledge Wikipedia they have one plane! This sounds like a complete -----up by Olympic Holidays. They are not liable for compensation under EU261 as they are not a carrier but there may well be a breach of the Package Travel Regulations for which they are liable. Good luck, you may need it!
  • SarahLiz
Thanks for your help. That's exactly what I feared - It's not Sam Air's fault (and yes they do have one plane which rattled quite a lot and was suggested to be held together by duct tape by fellow passengers!). They filled the gap where a plane was needed at short notice and once it was scheduled, it was only half an hour late. Small Planet will claim it was nothing to do with them as they weren't chartered in the first place. Olympic....well, I don't hold out much hope! I'll give it a go anyway - there's always bbc watchdog!
Really appreciate people taking the time to offer opinions and suggestions. Thanks!

    Small Planet delayed flights P7 371 on 26/05/2013 and P7 372 02/06/2013
    Small Planet delayed flights P7 371 on 26/05/2013 and P7 372 02/06/2013

    I am writing regarding delayed flights P7 371 and P7 372:

Outbound flight P7 371 on 26/05/2013 from London Gatwick to Las Palmas, Gran Canariawith the scheduled departure time of 13:50hrs.This flight arrived 12.5 hours late at Las Palmas, Gran Canaria.

Also return flight P7 372 on 02/06/2013 from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria to London Gatwickwith the scheduled departure time of 18:50hrs.This flight arrived 22 hours late at London Gatwick.

Anyone had any luck or any further information regarding the above flights, Small Planet have refused my claim due to "extraordinary circumstances", however, I have been informed by other people that various excuses have been given. I have now sent my claim to the CAA but still have to send to the Spanish authority.

    Thanks

    Jet2
I flew from Manchester to Prague with Jet2 last month (July 14th), and initially the flight was shown as a 1-hour delay for a 'technical issue' with the plane, but they couldn't fix it, so we then had another 2:30 delay for another plane to arrive, and further delays while they reassigned seats (bigger plane). Even when we were on the plane, somoeone decided they didn't want to fly, so everybody else had to identify their bags before we could go.. 4 hours in all! Jet2 gave us a 3 voucher, but you can't buy much at the airport for 3.. a burger costs at least 2, and so does a cup of tea! (even a bottle of water is 1.50!!)
The voucher listed places you could use it, but I only found a few..
By the time I got to Prague, everything was closed; I had to buy a drink from a machine to get some change for the bus ticket machine, and missed the last bus to the nearest metro. I got a different one, but by the time I got into the city centre, the last metro to where I was staying had gone. I found a night bus, but it was nearly 2a.m. by the time I got to my hotel. 3 just seems inadequate..
I've used the same route for 3 return trips now, and usually the only problem is the queue for 'baggage drop-off' (check-in)..
