Thames Water Refunds

Given that Thames Water are required to pay out £65million in compensation for leaks that cover a period starting in 2015, are former customers who have moved home since 2015 and now have their supply from another company entitled to any of the compensation, given that they were customers during part of the period involved?

    Welcome to the forum.

It is £120 million but it is being paid as a reduction in bills to customers over the next two years; they will get the the grand sum of £15 over those two years.

It is not normal to automatically pay ex-customers, not least because they have no idea where most of those customers live.

Try claiming and see their response.

I see you joined this site in August 2017, and this is your first post, so let me welcome you to MSE :hello:

I see you are referring to something that was reported by MSE back in June 2018

This means that each of Thames Water's approximately 15 million customers will receive a rebate of £15 over the next two years. The rebate will be applied automatically to customers' bills - there's no need to claim or contact the firm.
If you've moved out of the property, then presumably someone else has moved in and will be getting the £15 rebate over the 2 years

Go and ask those who receive what you consider your money for it to be given to you ;)

    Good luck!
