Council tax band

I appealed my council tax band in 2009 and was rejected as invalid because it was lodged
too late. Has the law changed and would it be worthwhile trying again.

At this point in time all you can do is to ask them to review the band, there is no right of appeal if they say no.
I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.

Usually if an appeal is invalid, the band is still checked, so it may not be worth asking for a review.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
