Great Value Dial Up

Hi,

Yes there are some of us still using teh old morse code! Try SJR247, I have account cost me £6.00 per month for up to 50 hours, they send you an e-mail to warn you when getting close to your 50, have excelent on-line support and take payment by DD, e-mailing you before they do so. They also do good broadband prices, high speed and no caps if you need this.

Hope you save some dough!

Check out FAST 4 CONNECTION DIARY 2 thread on this board! Most of us Fast 4 users think it is great value for money. Currently £6.99 per month and although they say unlimited, in reality it is about 168 hours per week I think. That is 7 days x 24 hrs. If you can get any more in good luck. One or two snags though, because it is cheap, they cut you off after 2 hours and you have to re-dial, leave your connection inactive for 10 minutes and they will cut you off if they are busy and last but not least, in the evenings they get busy and it is sometimes difficult to connect. :D

How does this work  . I have looked at the clara.net. site and cannot see any package that is free on dial-up ? Can you explain a bit more e.g. which package you sign up for and what reason you give for asking for their geographical number.

For any provider you need a pay-as-you-go connection (otherwise you'd be paying a monthly or annual fee), then substitute an ordinary number for the 0845, 0844, or 0800, 08081 number or whatever else.

Not only from 18866; some people have free evening and weekend calls from various operators that will allow access. But BT have a list of these numbers that are excepted from their 5.5p up to an hour tariff, and charged at per minute rates

I understand what you are getting at but tell me one ISP with an 0845 number that you can change to a geographic number. I have not found one.
If it was 0800 it would be a free call.
