Just applied for a personal loan from northern rock APR 5.7%, great, be warned though they will charge you £45 to use express payment instead of BACS. If you want to save yourself £45 enclose a letter with your credit agrement asking them to transfer the funds by BACS, you will get the funds within 4 working days, but will not have to pay a penny extra.
