    Boots Sale

Boots Sale 23rd Dec 18 at 11:08 AM
Thought I would start the annual thread.

I’m sure someone will find the regular post and share it here.

The sale starts online on Christmas Eve, usually around 4am, last year they did delay it till late afternoon though to stop issues instore with people getting confused on the different pricing

The Mini club sale starts online at same time and instore on Christmas Eve too.

Everything else instore is Christmas Day for those stores open and then the next working day for other stores, so either Boxing Day or 27th depending on opening times

I got some coffee sets 200o cofee one at £1.25 and one at £1.80!! The mugs can be donated to work, and th coffee will be gone well within the date.
    3 x Hot choc mugs 85p
3 x Kylie/ Kendal bags £1.80 - I actually like the style of the lips one, and might use it for my night out tomorrow
1 x Mark Hill bag of tricks £1.80 - Worth it for the hairbrush inside
    2 x Xmas cards - 25 inside 35p!! MAD!! I should have got more!
    1 x Impulse set £1.40
    2 x Zoella drinks cup 85p
    1 x Umberto Gianni volume powder 60p
    2 x Disney sleep eye masks 60p
    4 x Umberto Gianni curls products & bag £1.25
1 x Star Wars mug 85p for a friend who LOVES it

£32.97 spent and split between my Auntie/ Friend/ Mum as they wanted a few bits to top up birthday presents.
Hot choc for me this weekend

Did anyone else grab some bits?

I would say the items are probably only worth this.

    I got.......

    3 impulse sets @£1.40
    1 Soul Cal perfume/bodywash set @£2
1 pack of xmas cards @35p
    1 make-up brush/sponge/setting powder set @£4

Total of £10.55 but paid for the £4 set with points. Quite happy with my mini haul

This was all Grimsby Freshney Place, there are (10.30am) quite a few left of:
the kylie/kendal lip bags, xmas cards, Material Girl perfume, Pisa Cake (beauty bakerie) make up (£45 full price, sets don't really look like much though) and Zoella 2019 calendars.

Still loads of mainly rubbish left at my local this morning but got a few bits worth having at 90% off:

3 x Soul Cal Fragrance Sets £2.00 each
    1 x Yardley Body Wash sets 70p
    1 x M&M Sleep Mask / Note Book / Body Spray set £1.40
    1 x Disney Beauty 12 days Advent Calendar £1.60
    1 x K&K Lips Keyring 50p
    Total Spent £10.20

Was going to get the Hot Choc mug for 85p but I just don't need it.
Also tempted with the Wax Lyrical small bauble candles for £1.00 but I'm over run with candles so didn't bother. How they had a £10 price tag originally beggars belief!!

Mainly kids stuff left: Disney Slippers & Lip Balms, M&M Body Wash / Scrub sets, Nasa stuff etc...
Also some make up sets, M&M lip balm pouches, Yardey bath petal sets, Zoella travel cups, Zoella Calendars and tons of Kendall & Kylie...

Still reckon some of the K&K and Zoella stuff may have to be reduced to something like 25p to shift it, there's just so much of it!!

The Zoella Calendars didn't seem to have the days of the week on from what I remember. But yet they can't be reused as a perpetual calendar either as had 2019 plastered over it!! Probably why they've not shifted...

Lots of wrap and tags left but not seen any cards for weeks. We'll stocked up on the essentials anyway.

Best 90% Sale I've ever known at Boots. Usually nothing left by 90% day barr a few oddments.
Whilst there still wasn't anything spectacular, can't go wrong at 90% off as a treat for yourself or the odd extra stocking stuffer.
Even some of the stuff with damaged boxes / tatty packaging is okay to breakdown and either use yourself or to put inside a 'goody bag' for someone's present.
I'll be popping in again today to see how much they've shifted

Used the unicorn coconut face mask last night. - not bad for 40p.
If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!

Still plenty left in mine this morning.
Mainly Hype, K&K and Zoella (Zoella hadn't gone down at all since. I was in yesterday morning
A few other odd things too from what they had yesterday though a good amout had gone. Didn't buy anything else.
They did have some Beauty Bakerie Pisa Blush sets but not priced and wasn't sure what they retail at, though I believe it's meant to be decent stuff.

    I've done a right bargain!

I've spent £0.00 on the Boots sale. The reason? I've still got sets from 3 years ago in my airing cupboard waiting to be gifted to relatives/friends/acquaintances. Last year I over spent as I got caught up in the hype surrounding it and on the day. I overbought and struggled to fit them in my house. Many folk I know, know that the sets are from the sale. I know you shouldn't be un grateful but most of my family also shop in the sale too, so what I give my niece for her birthday my SIL will give me a similar boots gift back for my birthday etc.

Anyway this year I decided that I would not shower my family with boots sale gifts and use them myself. Also that I would save the £150+ towards my summer holiday.

So I'm £150 better off and that's my money saving deal

I'm not bashing anyone for shopping in the sale, its only good if you NEED it. I didn't

I never spend anywhere near £150 either so I'd like to think I'm not that bad, haha

I find Boots revamp the packaging on their indulgent bathing ranges every couple of years or so. With this in mind I don't get too much for other people as I don't feel so good about gifting it as it's obvious that I've had it in a while or might even come across as an unwanted gift of my own.
