  • Hi Folks,

I have made the following changes for this weekend's update.

    - Newcastle BS Big Little Saver withdrawn
    - Newcastle BS Regular Savings accounts added to post 3 (different accounts available for children and adults) paying 2.27% without any maturity date up to a maximum of £25,000 but for locals only
    - Nationwide BS Flexclusive Regular Saver (issue 2) replaced with Flex Regular Online Saver (also paying 5% interest for current account holders on up to £250 per month but this account has to be operated online), post 5 updated accordingly

I will do another update next weekend.

  • Got a letter from Virgin today asking for their money back :(

"When you closed your account on 22 February 2018 closing interest amounting to £45.43 was added to your account. Due to a system error, maturity interest amounting to £45.53 was also added."

It goes on to ask for a cheque or faster payment to clear the balance. I'm tempted to be awkward about it, but I'm a big fan of the Virgin RS accounts so I'll probably do as they ask.

I had not noticed until the letter arived today. In my case the interest and the extra amount were different. I have just sent a FP back.

Not another vexatious compensation claim, please. It would have taken minutes to make a faster payment. This is not grounds for compensation.
