Hi there. Me again:o:D
So why the new diary? Well after 14months of being unemployed (8 months of which had been planned as maternity leave...) I have, today, been offered a job. Pretty good timing as JSA was about to run out mid May and the redundancy pot is pretty much empty.... Talk about cutting it fine!!!:rotfl:
Anyways, I start work in 12 days time (those who don't already know will soon learn I don't hang about once a decision is taken:p), which means there is not much time to get done things that need to be got done...
I need to compile a to do list, sort out a budget and get back on the fast track to being debt free.
When I first had a true LBM in early 2008 I owed nearly £8,000 and by Jan 2009 had reduced the debt to £4,482 and was well on track for being all but debt free by now but Fate dealt a blow in the form of redundancy. Between making up small monthly shortfalls and some optimistic/comfort spending my debt has gradually risen again. I haven't got a precise total but I know I owe roughly £7,000. Not quite back to square one, but not great either:o:(.
The debt is made up of four balances :
Santander loan : £1,400
Egg Mastercard : £2,200:o
Tesco Mastercard : £2,000
HBoS o/draft : £1,400
The loan is fixed term and will be paid off in December this year. The most expensive is the overdraft which will be tackled first and foremost. I can't believe a year ago it was all but clear:(
Personal budget looks something like this:
Income 1,900
Joint account (1,000)
A&L loan (156)
Mobile phone (20)
Tesco card (60)
Egg card (40)
Contacts (20)
Cat insurance (14)
Overdraft (200)
Commute (90)
Spends (100)
BALANCE 327
The surplus will be chucked at debt for the most part and I will put away some for Xmas/holiday and goodies.
So onwards and upwards then I guess:D

Welcome everyone. Nice to see you all:beer:
Pooky, the mini budget is just my personal costs. The £1000 to joint account is matched by Hubbles and all joint bills (mortgage, CTax, food, nursery and joint loans) come out of that.26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073
