Happy New Year all - I'm back in for January, and after December's success, I'l be aiming for £775 or £25 a day. A bit of an ambitious target, but given my start (to follow), I'm hoping it'll be achievable.

We've been looking at a holiday abroad for the summer, something we've not done for over 5 years now since our little kiddies came along, so there's another 'pot' to be adding to, and a bit of motivation to keep me going.

Had some serious luck today, and declaring a total of £128.31. £0.10 from Citizen Me, and the rest from matched betting. A good start to the year.

I don't do resolutions usually, because I'm often very terrible at sticking to them. One thing I have managed to do consistently over the past 5 months is be part of this community here, so I guess this year I shall make exception, and my 2018 resolution will be to continue posting here and going for these daily targets.

Good luck to you all - but more importantly, have a happy and healthy 2018.

    Happy New Year, everyone:beer:,

Just found January's thread:o. Thanks as always Aesop:A and Lynne:A for running it and everyone else who posts. Let's all have a great year:beer:

I'm not committing to a definite target this month Lynne but will try to make what I can with very limited access to technology for the foreseeable future:(.

All the electricians who have quoted for our rewire say they need rooms clearing so they can take floorboards up. They'll also need to get into the loft too:eek:. We're hoping to have some structural work done at the same time so need the tradesmen to have access to everywhere. How we'll manage that I can't imagine:eek: .You have no idea of the amount of stuff OH has hoarded in the spare bedrooms and loft. There's so much it's impossible to squeeze right in to 2 rooms. It's not a case of moving things from one room to another, we'll have to find somewhere off the premises if we need to keep it. The garage is so full there isn't much room for much of it in there. I don't want you to get the wrong idea:o, our house isn't like on those hoarder progs on TV where people have rooms stacked with all sorts of disgusting rotting stuff, unwashed food containers etc:eek:. His stuff is largely boxed/bagged and definitely clean and, according to him, needed;). I've also a lot of my own stuff:o so we've our work cut out this next few weeks to clear it all out. Has certainly given us the kick up the backside that we needed:rotfl:

Needless to say I'll be getting rid of as much as possible for as much profit as possible but until the outdoor car boot season starts I'm a bit scuppered:(. At least I've been steadily disposing of my own stuff this past year either by selling or to charity. Still have a long way to go though.

Right, enough rabbiting, back to the loft:(. I may be gone some time:rotfl:

Sounds like a mammoth task CBC. Hope you manage to make a good profit from your clear out. I am a bit of a hoarder (runs in the family) but I am determined to get rid of a lot of clutter this year. I have decided to set myself a goal of 100 things out by end of January - I will try to sell as much as I can and if not recycle or charity shop but it must go by 31st!
