Are there any bank accounts out there that you can refer a friend and they dont have to 'switch'?

Are there any referrals apart from nationwide for banks if you refer a friend and they setup a new account but don't switch their account? Cant be nationwide as have both already.

Short answer is probably no, there aren't.

Indeed not even nationwide do what you suggest - their referral system does need a switch doesn't it?

There are some wildcards out there - Fineco is one, offering £50 at present if you open an account via a referral, no switch needed but the current offer does require a trade (previous ones just needed a minimum deposit). Fill form.
Scan Passport/Driving Licence
Await replies and respond as instructed.

M&S bank was more of a headache and i already had a relationship with them (and their parent bank).
