Transfer to and pay into new S&S ISA

Hi,
Probably a question that has been answered already somewhere, but
I had opened a S&S ISA earlier in April, but I am looking to transfer it to a new provider. I understand that I can only pay into one S&S ISA per year - does this mean once I've transferred I can no longer pay into the new provider? Or can I pay into the new provider once the transfer has completed?
Cheers for any help!

You can pay in to the new account after the transfer, assuming that you've transferred current year contributions0

That's what I thought but wasn't too sure, just need to wait for the transfer to complete then - tho, if the transfer is confirmed (old provider has confirmed and started the transfer of funds) do I still need to wait?0

you probably need to wait as part of the transfer will probably be the info on how much of your FY18/19 allowance you have already usedI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

If you're certain about your available balance you could ask the new provider.0
