The Good Morning Thread 5th Apr 14 at 5:17 AM
Well, we've got a goodnight thread so let's have a good morning one as well.

    Good morning everybody
Me and the dog have had our morning constitutional and shortly I shall be venturing forth to the big Tesco to do my fortnightly shop. When I get home I've got 3 hours work related admin and paperwork to do

The weather here is a bit nippy but at least there's no fog.

Didn't sleep too well because we forgot to shut the bedroom window after airing the room. I'm a light sleeper and the wildlife around here is noisy. I think my new neighbours must keep exotic birds or something. It's like sleeping in the tropics with lots of screeches and squawks from dawn. Added to night time noisy owls, fighting cats and God knows what else, a lie in was inevitable.

We had a lie-in too. Rudely awoken at 9 by a knock at the door. Neighbour returning some tools I'd lent him. Apprarently, he was rather bashful and profusely apologetic when confronted by my bleary eyed wife dressed only in her summer weight dressing gown.

Good morning nail-biters, nail-painters, and fence-painters (Where is Gill btw)?

Hot and sticky night, headache (not hang over!), general feeling of malais .. so 'good'?
Not very, from where I am, but hope all you upstanding members of this fine community are well ... although equally hot & uncomfortable I expect.

They really wouldn't last 5 minutes on me, though! I'm always grovelling around in stuff!

The most I might stretch to is the occasional press-on disposable nail!
Then they fall off and give people frights!

    Good Morning, talonkins!

Had my aircon machine going all night on low, and slept much better, despite the noise the machine makes. Interestingly, though, I still need it to be on this morning, indicating that the temperature isn't dropping much overnight.

Am still bemused by the fact that the shopping place and the roads weren't t as empty as I thought they'd be! Apart from Sainsbury's, which was pretty empty, but then half their shelves were empty, too. Never seen it so bare! It looked like rationing was back! Do they know something we don't ?

I might go again on Wednesday, and see if it's any emptier!

I thought that Flick's converse boots were works of art. Looked like Picasso's ... too nice to wear.

Bit like my Crocs, which I'll post a picture of later if anybody wants. If you'd prefer a footless piccy, let me know ....

Crocs on wet pavements turned out to be like roller-skates on oily ice. They were absolutely lethally slippery.

I couldn't believe it. I'd never worn a pair so slippery. I was inching along like a snail, holding onto walls and shop fronts.

I ditched them after that. It was too terrifying!

My wife was into crocks at one point. She even had a pair of high heeled crocs.

She tried to get me to the croc habit. I got as far as trying a pair on at some show at the NEC. Yellow ones, the only pair they had in a size 12/13.

    I looked like Donald Duck.

    Good morning, all.

I have a pair of Lidl 'crocs' for the garden. I usually forget, though and end up with dirty feet from pottering in sandals.

Very lazy day yesterday, same in prospect today.
