Hi Enterprise , how are you and dh?
We're OK thanks, know when the funeral is now, also we have decided to go to Rome still, no point in sitting here dwelling on things. At the moment it is disseminating information to all the people that need to know, FiL and MiL have lived in the same place for 60 years so MiL is still coming up with names. It will be one packed funeral. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
And my other news before I go and do something useful.
Actually not officially news yet, (def not telling OH yet as it feels like 75% of his depot have some sort of life threatening ailment or illness and/or their immediate family has and he comes home daily from work and tells me in full and graphic details what sort of day everyone has and how they are doing with their treatments and medicines etc even though I don't know any of these people at all)
Not officially news yet and we wont know anything really for a few weeks. My youngster sister (the middle one of 3) has found a breast lump, been to the docs and had her scan appointment. They tried to do biopsies but apparently it was too mobile so she had to go back to have the biopsies done under a scan (does that make sense to anyone) So she is black and blue and very tender and it looks like she has been in a cage fight
Doc says its cancerous but no official diagnosis yet and more tests to come yet, not sure what and when. To add to the fun they are off to Oz in a week on a business trip for 3 weeks - they do trade stands and this trip has been planned for 12 months since the last one. So they are trying to rush things through but obviously things are going to stall until they get back.
In the meantime she is not unwell, she is feeling perfectly healthy so we are taking it in a very matter of fact fashion until an official diagnosis is announced.
About 18 months ago she had a fall (drink induced) which resulted in a hip replacement and they initially she had Osteoporosis so she had bone scans and then six months later said she hadn't so as you can imagine confidence in medics is not very high. Apart from that she has had no other health issues.
So we are in limbo for the next few weeks until we get to the next stage of tests
Oh dear mhoc...so sorry to hear this.
Just thinking though, how much easier it is for is to talk about cancer these days. I remember how it used to be discussed in hushed tones.....if at all. Long may it continue:TTo do is to be. Rousseau
