I'm sure your mum not understanding the will is a source of annoyance but I wouldn't blame her for it. This sort of confusion can be quite common in families where wills are concerned.

If the trustee has said you'll all be treated fairly and more or less equally that sounds pretty reasonable to me.

Still waiting with no confirmation of what's left for each trustee. She claims (got my brother to contact her this time) it should be done within a month. We'll see...

That's her month gone then. Have you chased her?

It is probably a complicated calculation to work out who is due how much, but she won't have spent the whole of the last month with an abacus. Either she is busy, or lazy, or she is hoping you will forget about it and leave her alone and she will have fobbed it off onto someone else within the firm (as the previous trustee fobbed it off onto her) by the time doing the calculation becomes unavoidable. Or some combination of all three.

    STILL waiting!

She claims she's waiting on somebody else who has been on holiday, hah. An utter shambles.

Maqke a formal complaint NOW under her firm's complaints procedure.

Yep, it appears this is being kicked into the long grass. A formal complaint should get things moving. Ask the firm for their complaints procedure, if you don't have it. It will tell you who to complain to etc. Might be on their website.
