Weighted Blankets - Good?

Read quite a bit about weighted blankets and how they are supposedly better for you.

Has anyone got one or had experience with one?

Tried one and hated it. Reminded me of those ghastly heavy candlewick bedspreads which were so fashionable last century and weighed a ton - my first action was always to chuck that off the bed the moment I got into it!

Overpriced gimmick for most people, I suspect. A few might benefit, but would you really want to be lying under a 15lb blanket on a boiling hot summer night? I thoroughly disliked the sensation of being weighed down and was glad I'd borrowed rather than bought.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
  • Love mine as does my son. He has autism I have a chronic mental health problem. Helps us both sleep for longer, instead of getting up at 3am I'm up at 5/6am. I find it very comforting.

True about the heat, not had it in for a while due to this and waking at 2 lol
