Switching Broadband when Contract Ends in a month

I have just requested a switch to my broadband and my existing contract ends on the 14th December 2019 - that is just under a month away.
I received an email from the new provider telling me that the switch will happen on the 2nd December. That means that I will have to end my contract early and will have to pay Talktalk's early contract termination fees.
Do I need to cancel the request to switch or can the new supplier take over my broadband when my Talktalk contract ends?

I would cancel it. You have 14 days to cancel
Usually allow 2-3 weeks for install0
