personally think new title will confuse people it makes it sound like a thread where you actually get coupons from which its not instead of a discussion thread.

although both these are already well covered on other threads anyway.

MSE if you insist on keeping thread, quick suggestion the word Discussion is added to title so its clearer thats what the thread is. Perhaps a proper link to printable coupon thread too instead of a general link to all threads in this section.

still don't see the point though, title change or not, intended or not, its still encourage the same coupon use destroying behaviour.

Printable coupon thread still exists but mse want everything duplicated which means the hatd work by posters and myrtleturtle won't get recognised.

Those posters who search for coupons and find and post them, so MT can update the printable coupon thread won't get recognised.

your comment though is the exact reason why i suggested a title change for this thread as its very misleading.

    What's the board about?

As the name implies it's about Extreme Couponing - welcome!

I would have thought that as the board name NOW implies, it is just about Supermarket Coupons (or Supermarket Couponing), and not the Extreme version ... ;)

I think everything has been said but I always look at the coupon thread and there are barely any I can ever use, nevermind in an extreme way. This simply won't happen in the UK. I grew up in the US and we used to spend every Sunday cutting out coupons from thick inserts in the local papers. As someone said above, you can have trouble even if you use a coupon from an in store mag, so there is never going to be anything to discuss, really...just the best trout stories.
  • im a tesco trout lol , well i hope im nicer than some to be honest :)

as long as the coupons are in date , not copy's and you have the item then i cant see a problem. if the till says no and you have the items , the till operator can override it and put it through as a no scan. i think sometimes it may come across as the till staff are being a pain but flip it and look from the other side of the fence. we get in big trouble for taking vouchers that our not 100% and i for one cant afford to loss my job over a coupon. i collect them and use them to shop as well btw
