Evening all. Very dull here all day. DS’s flight was delayed from Glasgow due to low visibility at Gatwick. He said you could not see the runway as they landed.
Another day of doing nothing here. This morning when we put the TV on James Martin was cooking Yorkship puds! The ones he took out of the oven were the largest individual ones I have ever seen.
Thanks for the links Alfie and thanks for all the pics.
Indie made me smile at Charlie not being happy. Great idea for recycling his fur.
So hope spring is on the way and no more winter brrr....
Have a great evening everyone.0 -
Morning, i saw those yorkshires as well, they were huge, even my son comented on theml. Mine have never come out that big.
It was really foggy here last night and i could hear the ship fog horns going off so it must have been bad at sea. It had gone this morning and we have the sun out now.I am hoping to get out the garden later and sort a few pots out. Hope you all have a good day.0 -
:hello: Good afternoon everyone
I also saw the ginormous Yorkshire puds leanfun/indie!
I've never seen any that huge before, let alone made any that
size myself!
It was also foggy here last night indie, but same as you - no
sign of it this morning. It's been such a beautiful day here,
the sun was shining away & it's so mild. I have
just one complaint - the sun shows up dust & cobwebs inside my
house! Must get my feather duster out this afternoon &
have a good cleaning session!
Sun's just gone in now, I'm guessing that's it until tomorrow. It
looks as if Monday may be a mix of rain, clouds and sunshine
down my way (according to local forecast).
Happy RAKDay all!

As Yorkshire puds have been a favourite topic of conversation
here in the Inn, my Random Act Of Kindness today is to prepare
a scrumptious Creme Egg Yorkshire Pudding Cake for you all to
enjoy!
... it comprises of two chocolate sponge cakes sandwiched
between white and orange fondant, decorated with creme eggs
and encased in a giant Yorkshire pudding. Took me ages to
make. Enjoy, plenty for all! _pale_
Ok - I have an admission .... I just happened to google Yorkshire
Pudding Cake & hey presto! :rotfl::rotfl:
A Birmingham pub is taking Easter to another level this year by
offering a Creme Egg Yorkshire pudding. The dessert - which
sounds so wrong, but looks so right - features two chocolate
sponge cakes sandwiched between white and orange fondant. It’s
then decorated with creme eggs and encased in a giant Yorkshire
pudding.
As the pub’s general manager puts it: “It’s the best of both
worlds!”
The Half Penny Farm pub, which is famed for its giant Yorkshire
puddings, introduced the seasonal Easter treat to meet growing
demand for unique and unusual dishes.
Mark Tennant, general manager, said: “Easter is the perfect time
to gather the family and feast together for a delicious homely meal
– finished off of course, with chocolate. All our cakes at the pub
are handmade by our dedicated team so this year we put our
cake-a-tier to the test to create something truly egg-stravagant as
a special Easter cake, and we’ve not been disappointed.”
The savoury and sweet treat is available now at the Half Penny
Farm in Oldbury. If it proves popular, it could be rolled out to 65
Farmhouse Inns sites nationwide.
(You can vote to have the dish added to your local Farmhouse Inns
menu by visiting https://www.farmhouseinns.co.uk/creme-egg-yorkshire-pudding.)

As much as I love to eat Yorkshire puds, creme eggs & chocolate
cake separately - this gets a big NO NO from me! Yuk!
Time I got on with some dusting! Enjoy the rest of the weekend
all. Take care. xx

Lo Alfie no takers for the crime egg Yorkshire pud. Like Firefly separately fine.
Thanks for choc FireFly. Yummy.
Snap here too re dust. The other day sun coming in bedroom window showed up all the dust on the huge mirror. Still there I’m afraid.
Alfie thanks for links RAKD I’ve entered 2 comps on Tw re RAKD.
Unfortunately I woke up sneezing this morning and the dreaded hay fever has started. Probably told you before I’m allergic to the pollen on Silver Birch Trees. Last week I saw several trees near us with black pollen. So today we didn’t venture out. Still only lasts a few months.
Hope everyone has a good evening.0 -
Thanks Alfie, fraid i will have to refuse the Creme Egg Yorkshire Pudding Cake as i don't like creme eggs.lol. I will have a fruit marble ff, thanks. Hope the pollen don't last long leanfun.0

Wow Classic lodges have a number of places to choose from so that is great.
I’ve only started doing some mag comps again since the advents so over the moon to have a win from them.0 -
:hello: Good morning all
As predicted, it's a damp morning here - apparently the sun
will be showing itself at precisely 1.00pm. :rotfl:
I had to book my three monthly B12 jab at the docs today so
decided to walk to the surgery as part of my healthy new life-
style. :j Not sure it was such a good idea though ..... the
surgery was heaving with patients coughing & spluttering
away, all looking very sorry for themselves. Couldn't get out
of there fast enough.
Oooh, many thanks for RAK sweeties fire**fly. :T As much as I
love choccies, they're a 'no no' at the mo (trying my best to stick
to a healthy diet), & I know for certain - once I delve in & get the
taste of them again, there'll be no stopping me! Oink oink!
But I will help myself to the odd fruit marble or two!
I agree, thought the mix of Yorkshire pud, chocolate cake,
creme eggs etc sounded absolutely OTT! :rotfl::rotfl:
Same here indie - I've never been keen on creme eggs
either! Far too sickly!Alfie thanks for links RAKD I’ve entered 2 comps on Tw re RAKD.

Good luck with the Twitter comps leanfun. :j Brilliant win
with Classic Lodges - sounds wonderful, mega congrats! :T
You have my sympathy re hayfever. I used to suffer with it
dreadfully from about 8yrs of age & my son suffers from it
now. Thankfully I eventually grew out it by late twenties,
early thirties but I can still recall just how miserable it made
me feel year in, year out. Hope you feel better as the day
goes on. xx
Have a lovely & lucky day all and please take care, whatever
your plans.
