Thanks Chanie, I have to keep trying to save money on necessary purchases :D

And you are very good at it.

What are your plans for 2020?
  • Hello Chanie,

My main plans for 2020 is to continue to do a photo inventory of all of my clothes and then make decisions about what items of clothing I am willing to part with.:D

I am not buying any new clothes, shoes, sandals, handbags or accessories throughout 2020.

I am not buying any new books throughout 2020 (as a complete book lover this will be the hardest achievement) :D

I am going to concentrate on making savings on necessary spending throughout 2020 and having as many non spending days as possible each month :D

I am going to try to have another year where I am going to spend with caution, but I am going to live a life of full of personal joy :D

I am going to try new activities for my social life this year, but I will still be a regular at Karaoke and nights out of dancing, because they bring me a lot of joy and I hardly spend any money as I only drink bottled water on nights out :D

I am going to have a birthday party for my 58th birthday in April as I can afford to have what I hope is going to be a really good party for all of my family and friends :j:D

I am going to save as much money as possible throughout 2020. I have managed to save another £700 since the start of 2020 on top of the £2,000 I already had saved. Normally January is a month where I would do a lot of spending, buying cut price gifts in the sales online to store for family and friends birthdays throughout the year, but I decided not to bother this year. I will buy gifts in the months that the birthdays occur. :D

I like your idea of changing your focus on what you are spending your money on. Its easy to get complacent otherwise. If you have enough clothes and books to keep you happy for a while, then its a good time to focus on other things.
