So unbelieveably I have had another nightmare week. I was looking forward to spending the Easter break with the little one and doing some fun things outside. Thursday evening I noticed he had some spots and when we got up Friday there were lots more and it was definitely chicken pox.

He's a very active baby and didn't like being trapped inside and is now going a bit stir crazy. He kept waking in the night and crying and originally I thought it was because he was itchy (and it was in part), but noticed Monday in the middle of the night that his ear was sticking out and really red. He seemed to be crying as it hurt to touch it and lie on it (he sleeps and feeds on that side). Went to the doctors and he has an infection we are treating with cream, but he is in lots of pain and keeps crying. Breaks your heart to see it.

If no improvement we will go back to the doctors tomorrow. Basically no sleep for a week now for me and I can barely function or stand up. I have decided to put all the money making on the back burner permanently now. Will put my challenge at £50 a month and will just do what I can when I can and won't worry about how much I am making. Salaries will cover our existence and anything extra will just be a nice bonus to buy something nice.

    Thank you.

    I haven't updated my signature for a while so it's a bit less now:j.
I must be crazy but I've set myself the target of being debt free by the end of this year. Probably won't manage it but I need to aim high or I'll just procrastinate:o. I'm going to do everything in my power to start off 2019 owing nothing to anyone:j

Good luck CBC - that would be very exciting to not owe anyone anything. :)

Thanks:T. It all depends on nothing major blowing up/giving up the ghost during the year;). The main concern is my car which will be 16 years old in July:eek:. It's in pretty good nick though and still looks OK with no rust:j. I'm very fond of its retro shape and colour:rotfl: and will be so sad to see it go but I'm realistic enough to know it won't last forever. It manages to get through its MOTs without any trouble and apart from wear-and-tear replacements of such as exhaust, batteries and tyres it's cost relatively little over the years. I couldn't manage without a car, we have no buses nearer than 3.5 miles away and even they are sporadic. Our nearest supermarket and other shops are 7 miles away:eek: and although supermarket home delivery is a godsend I still need to drive to a post office and other essential shops and services. I could borrow OH's car anytime he isn't using it but he tends to go out a lot:(. If I can keep mine going beyond the end of this year I'm hoping I can clear my debts with my savings and then start a new-to-me car fund. If I need to spend the savings on a car before that then the debts will be around for a lot longer:mad:
