Payday loan Account statement and response

Hello,

Could someone please advise me what the next stage would be. I've submitted a claim with this company through claims portal, I've also asked them for my account statement which is bellow.

I was in a bad situation when I was taking these payday loans young as 20 years old working on a minimum wage it felt like I needed to take one loan out after the other just to survive which caused more debt with other companies I'm sure thousands of not millions of people have experienced the same situation as me.

I called this company today to query the fees and one person said on the phone you might not be entitled to anything? and to submit a claim which has already been done well before I asked for my account statement.

    So if you're not satisfied with the response, and if that is their full and final response to your complaint, then you can escalate it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

    Be prepared to pull out bank statements from the time of the loans as well as answer some tough questions about the figures you put down for Income & Expenditure and if you didn't tell the truth, what the reason for that was.

    Finally, you *might* fall foul of the 6-year rule - but I am aware the FOS WILL consider these, if you're claiming within three years of finding out that you could make a claim in the first place.
  • Thanks for your reply I called them once again they said this is not the final response and that I have to wait till September for the final response. They would not comment anymore.

    They get 8 weeks to respond - if they choose not to reply until September that's their business. As soon as you send that email with the key words about making a complaint about your loans regarding affordability, the clock starts running and they get 8 weeks. If you've heard nothing after that time, just escalate your complaint to the FOS.

    How long ago did you complain in writing?

    I did not want to name this company but they have said we have gone into administration and that I need to wait till September for a final response I've recorded the calls with their consent as evidence.

    You haven't actually said what you're complaining about, or what you hope to achieve with this complaint.

    All you've asked for in your letter is for them to provide you with all your loan history, which they've done.

    What is it you're hoping to achieve?
    "Facism arrives as your friend. It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... [it] doesn't walk in saying, "our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."

    OK, so they have until 9th September to get back to you. If you've heard nothing, escalate it - although if this company is who I think it is, you should hear back from them by that date and any payout due will be in January of next year.

    You're assuming that it's been logged as a complaint.

    I know the word 'complain' is in the letter, but in the letter the OP has asked for a very specific thing, and the loan company have given him that very specific thing. They may very well consider the letter dealt with.

  • No fortunately I've recorded all communication and they said their final response will be September but they did not comment on irresponsible lending in the response to my email. My account statement the fees section is illegal and I should be paid that back I was also charged ridiculous amounts of interest on some of these loans because I couldn't afford to pay them back on time.

    As you can see I was constantly borrowing money from my account statement
