    I've been Money Tipped!
Carrot cake and a loaf of French-style white bread from the BM for me.

I really must try making twinks some time - everyone on here seems to reckon they're brilliant and I'd really like to find out for myself. :)

I made a really yummy victoria sponge for my mom and some fairy cakes for the kids. Tomorrow I hope to make HM quiche and a cheesecake.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

No baking as such today but the pilchard pie I made for tea went down a treat and there's one for the freezer. Yesterday it was 2 large loaves and a dozen rolls and date and walnut scones.

    Bella.

Only a spag bol for me today. It seems ages since I did any baking we have been trying to use up all the food gifts from Christmas. I think we are nearly there now :) . We took 4 tins of biscuits to work & put them in the staff room. That got rid of those within two days lol.

  • I have just made my very first banana bread adapted from Nigella's recipe online after reading a thread about it on here yesterday. Of course I had to adapt it, I can never leave well-alone even when I've never made something before! It's turned out most beautifully and I'm so proud of myself I'm going to take it over to some friends for tea tomorrow afternoon. IF I haven't eaten it all by myself beforehand.

PILCHARD PIE? I'm not a meat-eater so I'd be very interested in a recipe for that, if you can be bothered.
