    Also, isn't it a positive thing that they have managed to change things around to now accommodate your requests? They didn't need to do this, yet have taken the time to try and sort it for you as you have made it clear how important it is that you have the family rooms.

    Just to update the thread - I had spoken to a solicitor who gave some advise and I continued with politely requesting a refund but escalating it to the CEO of the hotel group.

    After doing that I received a refund within a week.
