Does anyone know what POL (royal mail) means please

Hi,
I have a parcel not arrived and tracking it on RM web site says accepted at POL 7/6/12 and the address of the post office, does anyone know please what POL means?

    Yes accepted at POL means that the Post Office you sent it through have scanned it on to the system. Not thick at all!

    sorry this is an old thread, I have requested a p58 form to be emailed through to get a refund on my special next day delivery that was delayed.

    I really urgently needed to get the item through, will the post office be able to compensate me?

    Im not quite sure I follow , Are you claaiming for loss or delay?

    I recently had a special take 3 days instead of 1 and I did my claim about 2 weeks after delivery and got my postage returned about 3 weeks later.

    No.
    Although you would have paid the Post Office and dropped your SD package off there, your claim is with Royal mail and they are ones that you submit your P58 to and they will refund you the SD cost eventually.
