Although, I read that the MGM Pools are closed (except lazy river) when I get there on the 1st ! boooooooohoooooooooo !!!!
I had visions of sunbathing by the pool drinking Bud Light with my pops!!
Really? When do you go? Usually the lazy river is the first thing to close, around this time of year. It has been due to close while we've been staying there first 2 weeks September before, but was extended due to good weather. The weather has broke a bit though yesterday so it's possible they'd close the lazy river now. I've not heard anything though, not staying there.0 -
Had a quick chat with Stoneman and his Mrs last night at the Stir happy hour...they were just back from somewhere, and popped in for a quick chat before heading to get checked out of their room.
I still seem to be on early nights and early rises (5am again today!!), wouldn't mind so much if I slept right through for 8 hours. Last full day with the car today, so heading out for a while this morning.0 -

Just waiting for the cab to the airport to Manchester, then Virgin Premium to Vegas for our Wedding. Supper excited:j
We are staing intialy at the Excaclibur then moving to Vdara on the Wedding day, we've several things prebooked via groupons so not going to be short of things to do. Slight disapointed thouigh as we had planned thuesday the pre-wedding day as a familiy day with my daughter away from the our friends and part of that was a visit to the Adeventure Dome at Circus Circus but it is closed for maintance
Ok we can still ride a coaster at New York New York but any suggestions on an alternative to keep a 19 year old amused?0 -
Not a totally stupid idea if you only want somewhere to sleep. If you want a rather more upmarket motel, try the Super 8 on Koval Lane next to Ellis Island, which I've used several times and been very pleased with. I think they might offer free airport transfers, BTW.
Think it may be called Ellis island hotel now, with newly refurbed rooms , have you stayed there recently0 -

hi
unsure how much it helsp but there are loads of shopping malls in and around vegas if she is into shopping?
If she is into thrill rides kinda stuff there are a couple on the stratasphere( the far end of the strip) Its the big tower looking hotel well past circus circus which may be of help?
have you thought of freemont street? that was a good experince for us, also the mob musuem is 2-3mins away from it which may also be of intrest?
Is she into golf? when we were in vegas there was something like top golf at the mgm. we did not do this but saw it advertised a bit.
have you looked into shows?
hope this helps
( good luck with the wedding !!)
kind regards0
