  • I have found it slightly cheaper depending on the £ to Euro rate and with a vastly improved range of pods if you pop across to France on the Shuttle to Cite Europe, nip into Carrefour and pick up what you want there. You can save the fare by picking up cheap plonk and Bon Maman Jam...mind you it's not worth it if you don't live in Kent, obviously! Although if you know anyone who pops across to France regularly, put an order in!

    Hi
    I have a Tassimo T40
How do I get a discount code please
I am registered on their site but don't see any discounts
    Thank you

Keep an eye on HotUKDeals and MSE's Discount Codes 'n Vouchers board. The codes on HotUKDeals are currently expired though you'll find a search box to the right for discount codes, try this from time to time.

Quite a few colleagues of mine pop over to Calais quite frequently, will bear this in mind.

As this thread is quite old, I will pose a question that may bring it up to date.

Unfortunately I was brought a Tassimo by my wife. I love Illy coffee and will go miles for a proper double shot expresso. But was wondering if anyone does the none proprietary Illy discs?

If not, anyone know of the best priced illy machine (I will only use it for expresso), and place to buy it. I have found a company in Northampton who claims to be an illy specialist, but would still want to shop around before outplaying £150 for the machine and £112 for a create of coffee (40x26 portions) which is 10p a cup.

Not seen any deals on Illy machones though Tesco and Sainsbury's appear to have Illy stuff on offer quite frequently, maybe consider adding a few price alerts on somewhere like mySupermarket if it helps any. Offers also tend to get posted frequently on HotUKDeals as well, try searching there from time to time as well. Also, try searching Amazon, or the MegaShopBot for best prices.

By the way, you can also track Amazon's prices using camelcamelcamel.com.

Incidentally, Morrisons were selling Tassimo Costa Latte for £3.99 a couple of weeks ago, not sure if this offer is still on though. And if you have any B&M Bargain stores nearby, they are currently selling Tassimo Carte Noire Espresso Classic packs of 16 for £1.29.

If you only want Illy expresso, I would suggest you save yourself a lot of money and just buy a Bialetti stove top espresso maker. It will work extremely well with the Illy ground coffee from the supermarket and will cost less that £20!
  • Thought I'd add my comments to this. I think the tassimo web site is pretty good for prices. However it seems to be very poorly stocked. Many items are frequently out of stock for a certain amount of time. Also if you search around the web there seems to be a lot wider set of choices than we can have here. I like decaf coffee but there's only one on the uk website. The Canadian website has 5 different types. Seems a little unfair.

If you have a Costa card, you can use your points to buy Costa Tassimo discs from your local Costa store :D

At Freeport Braintree, Essex there is a Gaggia shop which does everything you could possibly want.
  • I just bought a Bosch Tassimo coffee maker from Amazon in one of the Cyber Monday lightning deals.

I knew that the discs were expensive from the outset. Pretty much like a lot of things: printer ink, Oral B brush heads, Gillette razor blades....

However, what did surprise me was that when I checked the prices direct from Tassimo's and compared them to the supermarkets and Amazon for my favourite T-discs - Tassimo was cheaper for all apart from one. Amazon was cheaper but this was based on buying 5 packs. (It worked out more expensive for all other T-discs).

I posted a request for a discount code but had no joy. I'm sure its been asked before but has anyone found a cheaper source of T-discs? I'm interested in other people's experiences of buying T-discs for their Tassimo machine.

I was talking to my sister who lives in Switzerland but is here for Christmas. She was saying Nespresso is treated as a designer brand in their stores etc in Switzerland and its like a status symbol. She said that she thinks the coffee from Tassimo which is mucher nice than Nespresso.

I actually have some promo codes that will now you to get 2 of any flavor discs for free. If interested in buying some pm me.
