Thanks for all of the congratulations for DD - she deserved her grades - she worked hard :)

Glad you enjoyed the cookies, Brodiebobs :)

The Summer hols feel like they're flying past! :( And the nights are drawing in, too :( I don't think I've managed to achieve much of what I'd planned house-wise in the hols, but we have had lots of fun feeding ducks along the canal, meeting friends at playparks and building forts in the living room! :D:T Oh - and a family wedding last weekend  Decluttering of things has come to a virtual standstill in the meantime, though. (well, DD has been doing well at clearing out, but they have all been priced and boxed ready for the October nearly new sale - except the successfully sold on ebay Sylvanian Families - she made nearly £70 from the few sets she had! :T)

As OH's contract finishes next week I have spent a lot of today ensuring all expenses and paperwork are up straight, with no outstanding queries. It's been a bit of a funny one but the upside of it has been that he has mainly been working from home -which was great for my invigilating work. Will be a bit different next year when he (hopefully!!) will be out of the house all day - I may have to use some (paid for) childcare!

Even though it's the hols, I'm still very glad it's Friday - chilled night, easy food (fakeaway Chinese) - and a bottle of pink fizz! :D

    Well done DD :T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

As well as my 4 children, I currently have an additional 5 17yo girls in the house until some point tomorrow! Clearly I must be deranged to be doing this! :D I am just very glad we have another living room across the hall (so we don't have to hear them!:D) They are also all sleeping in there - thankfully the bedroom which is above is DD's, so no-one will be above any noise! :T They've had Dominos (pizzas and chicken selection) and Tesco's cheesy garlic bread and oven fries. We've also eaten the same and thanks to offers we got all the DOminos for £39 (and had a small amount of cashback through TCB) and the Tesco stuff cost about £2.50 (max) - so not bad to feed a lot of hungry teenagers and us! Whilst in Tesco I also found a 24 box of Pepsi max with 2 cans missing (so 22) for £2.10 (major reduction!!) - and had a coupon for £1.75 off - so 22 cans of Pepsi Max (the 330ml size) cost me the grand sum of 35p!! I also found this cake: http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=287335435 reduced from £12 to £4.25 - so picked that up for them too - I never got around to baking choc muffins and cookies for them (slightly crazy day) and it's funky to look at! :D They're using up paper party plates (saves on washing up) from over the years - sparkly ones and Angry Birds are going down well! :D:D Not a particularly MSE night, but could've been a lot worse!

Just catching up. Great results :j
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
