I have had two boxes this week and very pleased with both. Today's had 8 huge vine tomatoes, 19 bananas, 1 yellow pepper, 5 limes, 1 peach and a bunch of grapes. For £1.50 I think this is wonderful value!

I was in my local Lidl when it opened this morning as I happened to be passing and the Waste Not boxes were all laid out. I got one with the least amount of potatoes in, but the contents were 12 spuds, 2 sweet potatoes, punnet of lovely sweet black grapes, 3 huge tomatoes, pack of mangetout peas, 3 plums, two apricots, 3 satsumas, 1 iceberg lettuce, 1 leek, small stick of brussels sprouts, small pak choi. That's all I can remember anyway.

    £1.50 - amazing value!

The trial has been a great success and the £1.50 boxes are now going to be rolled out nationwide in Lidl's 760 stores in England, Scotland and Wales. :j

    British Blackberries 200 g £1:49

I got this 3 days ago so far have used:

    1 pack mushrooms & beans in a risotto ,
2 sweet potato to make wedges
Gave away 1 pack easypeelers to friend for her children.
Made a crumble with the blackberries.
    Lettuce in salad today.

All remaining Veg in good condition apart from outer leaves of iceberg lettuce which had to be discarded.
I will be using mint in a couscous salad tomorrow & maybe a mojito ?

A great money saving way to get your 5 a day.

Amazing sweet potatoes are harvested in October and then sold for next 10 months if USA sourced.
    How do I know ?
I supply both Aldi and Lidl.

Today I saw, and bought, my very first £1.50 fruit and veg box. Got a bag of sprouts, a decent, solid cabbage, 3x baby gem type lettuces, a punnet of sweet, juicy black grapes, 3 peaches, and 11 good sized easy peelers. There were a couple of others, both of which contained 6 or 7 bananas and a few spuds. As I already had bananas and spuds, the one I bought suited us best. Pleased with purchase.

I bought mine at about 2.45. Perhaps it varies by store.
