Student loans and inheritance

Do you have to declare an inheritance on student loan deferment form? Do you need to declare cash gifts? Pre-1998 loan if that’s relevant. Thanks

    But note that any subsequent interest on any of that money presumably is.

    One thing for experts here - Could "income from estates" be considered income? By this I mean - the income to the estate that can't be processed prior to probate (eg. Investments that can't be sold), will form part of the inheritance, but you have to declare that bit of income in self assessment. If you've not been given an "R185" tax form with the inheritance, then I believe there isn't anything to worry about but don't quote me.
