Cutting Down Alcohol Thread 30th Jan 18 at 2:46 PM
    Hi Guys,

Sadly we lost our thread and I don't personally keep a private record of others AFDs so all data on the old thread is gone.

I've decided I'm going to bow out for a while as I'm actually pretty busy here in RL. And my life is about to get really hectic as I'm moving home....Also it will be hard to have challenges if data is getting lost. Sorry guys.

....It's been great...maybe I'll be back in a few months...

    Ta Ta For Now.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

I'm not sure where I'd start if I was to offer to do it. Not very technologically minded.

I did 18/19 for January which I am okay with. I flagged on one Wednesday during the week.

    February's target is 16.

Even if I don't hit target, I'm happy that I'm doing better than I have the last few years.

an enormous thank you to our friend Shaggy for helping so many people. It's been so appreciated. All the very best with your house move and be back soon!

I'm really pleased that Shaggy was kind enough to start us off again. I know we could all keep our own private diary entry but it's not the same. While supportive, this thread just adds that extra bit of accountability and, of course, motivation! Thank you so much for the offers to take it on. I don't have the IT skills to do it myself but I'll do my bit in whatever way I can.

I ended January on a creditable 18/10. Really pleased with myself. Well done everyone who managed even 1 day more than usual and especially those who did the whole month!

So starting as we mean to go on:

    1/10 please Baileysonice.

Will add everyone as they post so if you can put your target for Feb along with your January result then I will add the yearly challenge on the next page for those doing that too.

Bells and whistles will be added too tomorrow for success markers but for now I'll just start the list

Shaggydoo I hope you will pop in to say hi and I apologise straight off for not being anywhere near as good as you at this job.

Fingers crossed and here we go

Hey I go away on hols and the next thing I know the thread has vanished That's terrible! Why would anyone be pushing the spam button and should mods not check the thread before just deleting it? ...Anyway I might have an AFD for today but not sure yet - it's been harder on holiday. I am thinking I should maybe put my hand up to run the thread too but don't want to commit until I am back next week as my head is just not in the UK at the moment.

Many many thanks from me too Shaggy for all your hard work. xx

Awful to hear the thread had vanished. Iíve had a very difficult end of the month and am also moving this month so donít feel able to offer to help at the moment. However, maybe later I will have some more time.

Iíd like to try and get to 15 please for February although I did not achieve target for January! Very grateful to Shaggy for all their hard work and for reopening the thread too.

Have just re-read through the posts and realised the mods were not responsible for the thread's disappearance but it still seems an awful thing that the thread just vanished, just like that I know my total for Jan, anyway, it was 25/21.

Speaking personally I really depend on this thread and hope it will keep running and I will put up my hand to run it if people like and no one else would prefer to do it. Happy to attempt the bells and whistles and all.

Thanks Baileys for offering to do February - you're a lifesaver. I'm sorry I overlooked your original offer and I'm very, very grateful that you're willing to take it on. Good to know you'd be willing to help as well, CathyBird. I like the idea of several people being willing to take it on in turns because I don't think any of us are confident we can step straight into the Wonderful Shaggy's shoes, but if we can share it that would make a huge difference.

    2/28 please, Baileys.

So relieved to have found you all again. Thank you very much, Shaggy, for all your hard work over the past years, it has really been appreciated. Best of luck with your move - we are still unpacking boxes/looking for things, having moved from Manchester to Cardiff last October.
