Junior ISA mistake, please advise

MSE, I need help. I accidentally paid money into my daughter's junior ISA that was meant for something else and now i'm being sent on a wild goose chase to get the money back. The ISA is with Nationwide and they said that I have to ask HMRC to approve the transfer back but HMRC doesn't know anything about it.
Please help, thanks.

Generally it isn't possible to withdraw funds from a junior ISA until the child reaches 18, but the HMRC ISA guidance notes do seem to suggest that it may be possible to reverse an erroneous subscription, depending on circumstances, see sections 26.1.2 and 26.1.3. Read up on this and ask Nationwide to contact HMRC on your behalf.0

Hey, I made the same mistake this week but with nearly £1800 - can I ask did you ever get this resolved?

Question posted on this thread was July, new poster by the looks of it.
Someone else may be able to help who sees this.
Did you try what eskbanker said to original poster?.0 -

I know this is an old thread but does anyone know if this was resolved? I have found myself in a similar situation.0

Have you tried following eskbanker's suggestion in post #2?
The people making these errors are one-time posters so are unlikely to be checking this old thread regularly to give feedback.0
