When I was a student about eek 15/16 years ago I got into terrible money problems and one issue was with natwest, where I had an overdraft and was being charge fees constantly. It was a never ending circle and eventually I met my now hubby and he cleared it and we closed the account. The thing is at the time, I was suicidal and i had no concept of how overdrafts and things worked. Everytime I made a payment id get charged more and it was awful.
I have no record of the account now but I just feel that the charges were very unfair. I would ring them in tears begging them to stop charges. So now, i'm mentally much better and I have always wondered about whether there was any way to reclaim?

No.
If you are in current financial hardship, you can ask the bank if they can support you, but that doesn't mean a 'reclaim' of fees.0 -

Your husband bailed you out and the account was closed.
