    thanks caterina. my family (well dads side) originate from around there, chorley, horwich etc.

    not had a decent chorley cake for years so will give these a go.

    They do sound really nice actually! If I wasn't so busy cooking for my clients all the time I'd be more willing to give it a go myself!

    they are lovely, spread with proper best butter. just warm from the oven.

    they are gorgeous glad, found all ingredients in cupboard last night so did a batch. well worth a try. ;D
