Thanks for the comments I've decided it's time to take a few steps back if it's grant making I want then I'll need get in on the ground floor at a !!!!!! wage. Applied for one it's health related and Agency so might not stand a chance. Got one more ready to go which is slightly off grants but close no idea of wages think it's low pay. Third one spotted this morning looks ideal part time and grants need my kind of knowledge field so perfect. Shame it's not a supervisor role but once in you never know. Could volunteer as well.

Course this morning need to leave ten minute before it starts as it's so local. Been whatapping my friend re my nephew coming over she's taking him out for the day as we're both on a course. Should be ace for him she's a shopaholic.

Need to read more pre course stuff for next week but should be able to do it all Friday and do those two job applications. Still unsure about that operations job it's well paid not amazing it's close by I'll get an interview but there will be a CEO and there's no specialist advice in the area I want to pursue ideally. Still thinking on that one. Closing date next week anyway.

Sorry to hear about the job TG, something else always comes along.

Not sure I could step back to a starting wage, but then I'm older than you and I guess that makes a difference.

Morning DG has just left all her IT is up the creek it went down yesterday just before 4.30 so I was finishing off my volunteering stuff and had to leave before complete not a good thing. Volunteering was great I actually enjoy seeing the clients but I'm getting really easy ones and very organised ones which does help.

Meeting person who recommended me for workshop on Nov today so that will be good. She's a volunteer in a CAB and also writes quite a successful blog in the area of work I'm in.

I'm not sure I want to go back to front line but I am enjoying getting my skills back up to date and doing all the training. I spotted yesterday that a company that was the ocmpetitor to the ones I worked for four years ago accept speculative applications. I'm going to give that a go. I could offer to do basic stuff like I do volunteering or go in at manager level or even more quirky stuff I know they do I would actually be interested in doing. Just getting a foot in the door would be good they are very large so lots of opportunities.

So need a to do list today or I'll forget half of it:
    • Send of application for TTT done
    • Do speculative application
    • Meet interesting person at 11done
    • Do the reading for course next week
    • Call agency I didn't get interview for re other opportunities. This isn't dream job he isn't back until next week. Done waiting for call back
    • Email estate agent to activate the insurance need a paying tenant. Done
    • Do wash-load done 2
    • Email IFA and send scanned pension letter done
    • call HP instant ink where is my cartridges done arrive next week next month free £7.99 saved yeah
    • Shorten two pairs of DGs trousers done one pair sewing machine broken sadly
    • email brother in law

List coming along nicely DG will be home soon then off to golf. Loved meeting the blogger really interesting and some good ideas about what I could do next. She retired at 41 wow.

Found the perfect lampshade in a charity shop looks lovely in our new room and only £2.50 saved myself at least £20.

Called recruitment Agency but person at lunch he's calling me back we shall see. They do have interesting jobs.

Still need to do the reading for course next week and I'll do that other speculative one next week. I've got two weeks off in effect in July but obovusly August is when everything goes dead.

My tenant has paid £1000 paying the rest tomorrow. Good news but we shall see.

Oh more to add to list forgot.

Did the entire list bar the speculative one. Never got a call back from the recruitment agent it's just typical how crap they are. I'll get one o dream job Agent on Monday he said he would feed back.

Golf this evening hit balls on the range and played seven holes DG played really well looks good for Sunday. Let's hope she also plays well Saturday. Did buy some beers and DG is having wine. I'm not sure I'm having any wine we shall see. Don't want hangover tomorrow.

Managed to get tickets for Bat out of hell for the Monday my nephew is over. £18 I know they are back row seats but still a bargain. Going with DGs mum. Free comedy night with my friend Monday look forward to that.

Think that's it for now night night all.

Thanks Tahlullah I do home it will be a good night.

Playing golf today 18 holes took five hours the chaps we played with were nice but it has hard and DG didn't play her best sadly. She wasn't quite ready but at least she's done 18. I kept it together until 16 so annoying. I'm booked in to play Wednesday last one for three weekends now.

So knackered honestly early night as very busy week next week. Monday voluntenterring and comedy night although I might cry off that one. Course Tuesday, golf Wednesday, course Thursday and volunteering plus my nephew arrives Friday. Nothing Saturday but Thorpe Park Sunday.

Our guardian company are being really awful the bins haven't been emptied for a month and the gas is about to be cut off as they owe £18k. They are not keeping us informed so our local councillor is next step the council own the building and I'm sure they don't want anyone dodgy managing it. Will need to contact them tomorrow been going on too long and court hearing is Friday. Can't believe they are that crap. Also meant to fix the shower surprise that hasn't happened.

Seriously need to get back to that gym and loose weight it's out of hand so big now, DG wants to do a weeks Fitness and fat camp I think that might work. Shouldn't be so tired after just 18 holes.

Volunteering was good but tiring so cried off comedy night also had lots of reading to do for course today.

We think gas has been sorted with guardian company but we don't trust them. Rubbish still hasn't been collected this has happened before but they useually sort it quickly however not this time it's been a month. They've declared bankruptcy for over £220k so I'm not surprised many suppliers don't want to take them on even if it's a separate company e.g. new one. They are such scammers.

DG is still stressed about her complaint at work it's not good for a solicitor to have one but all she can do it wait and let it run its course. She's throwing a sickie tomorrow to see her mum and friend I think that's just what she needs. She's been going into work st 7am the last two days.

Anyway best read some more for my course before I need to leave at 9am.

Sorry to hear about DG's complaint TG. There are complaints, and there are complaints. My question would be, is this a complaint to the SRA? Or is this an internal client complaint where she is being accused of not doing something or whatever?

If it's B, I wouldn't worry. As you know, the organisation will have an internal complaints policy that they will be following and even if they do find an element of fault, the worst is they will say she needs to go through some extra training and they will put new procedures in place to ensure it doesn't happen again.

The SRA complaint - to be honest, they are unlikely to take away her practising certificate. That would have to be MAJOR.

I know she is worrying, but please send her good wishes and try and get her to relax. Worry about it when the LAA come in and suspend the contracts.

    Hugs

Yes it's internal at the moment but she's already way ahead of herself worrying about the SRA. I used to be the the design with the complaints and I know they rarely go that far. Promblem is they are so strectched her supervisors hasn't had time to reply to the complaint yet which doesn't help it been a week.

In other news course today was great trainer was old contact at my old job we have had lots of good times together doing training around the country in the past. Good to see him and actually the course was very basic but good to update me. I obviously know more than I think. He suggested I go for a benevolent fund job it's usually part casework and I it would get me into a grant making organisation. There's a current one but it's low pay and a lot of travelling plus working from home which wouldn't really work in this set up here.

I'm going to ring that agent tomorrow to ask for feedback so I just checked the website for jobs and low and behold six appeared again. One is definitely the same as the one I applied for but there is a similar sounding one but higher rank so who knows if that guy did get them confused. I still don't understand why they now have a closing date of Sunday when he told me they had interviews planned. Will definitely calling tomorrow to get what is what. Not holding up any hopes it's just a bit odd.

Tomorrow is golf first thing so call will be in the afternoon. Also need to do some cleaning here it's really bad.

Early night so shattered tonight how would I fit work in as well lol.
