  • That's great, MrsSave:T

I hope your tax rebate comes in soon too. Always nice to receive something from the taxman;)

Back out of work again, but in a financial position that I don't have to worry too much.
Not even going to sign-on until Friday as I have a few irons in the fire job-wise.

Will be strolling round the bootsale tomorrow and meeting a mate for a coffee.

  • Sorry about the job, patman. Were you on a short contract or did it just not work out as you'd hoped? Sorry if I seem nosy:o, but I'm just interested.

I see from your last post that you're busy getting applications in and I don't expect it will be long before someone snaps you up.

In the meantime, enjoy your free time while you have the chance:beer:

It was a full-time perm job, but I was still in the probation period.

Sorry about the job patman. Nothing is ever 100% secure unfortunately. My work can be very up and down, and I'm expecting a dip towards the end of the year, which is why I need to add as much as possible to the emergency fund.

On that note, I had some money set aside for a bill. The bill was a little less than I thought so moved the difference to the emergency fund. That's another £49.72 added today, which brings me to £523.11. I wish I could post every day saying I've added to it!!

With the Tax rebate and the money owed to me added to the money I have already, I am in a position to even not need to sign-on for 2 months if I didn't want to.

I am seriously thinking about setting up on my own. This would only be possible if my spouse were to get a full time job even at NMW.

  • Setting upon your own sounds like a plan, patman. I'm sure you'll have gone into all the drawbacks as well as the positives in working for yourself. Not being at the whim of bosses is a massive plus in my book.

Now all you have to do is persuade the Missis to get a full time job:eek:
