  • The aldi chipolatas are £1.79 for 12 and are 97% pork which seems like good value.

Just come out of Aldi £100 lighter! They've got a great range of luxury Xmas food, both for main dinner and buffet style food.

No lobster though! Off to Iceland to see if they have any left!

Lidl has Californian Zidanfal red wine at the moment for £4.75, this grape does not turn up often even at Waitrose. Mine are unopened but of you try one, do report back!

Maybe because it's an inferior wine?

Aldi only stock quality products. Lidl has always been the little brother trying to keep up ;)

I would equate Aldi with Waitrose whereas Lidl is Tesco/Morrison/Asda

Picked up some lovely sliced rare venison, beef and duck from the deli counter in Aldi today, plus a great selection of continental meats and cheeses.

But my Best Buy was a quality Serrano ham for (I think) around £25.
  • Aldi Salted Caramel Double Cream with Liqueur is amazing. £1.49 a pot (£2 in Morrisons).

No Balleycastle Cream this year though, just a Baileys version at £1.69, which is still cheaper than the other stores but not as cheap as last years Balleycastle which was about £1 a tub.

I usually buy Serrano Ham in my Aldi, just the sliced stuff, not the whole one, it's not been in stock for the last two weeks, had to make do with Parma :( I also love the Cucina Rosemary Ham

I love it, not sure i'd love it if i had to eat a whole one though !

Wow, seen it all now, people becoming snobbish over discount stores :rotfl:
