ppi claims

I have read the sticky regarding PPI claims after bankruptcy, does that cover loans taken out and repaid long before the person went bankrupt or does it mean the loans were part of the bankruptcy?

  • I'm afraid so yes....any PPI claim before bankruptcy no matter when taken would be an asset and will go to the receiver

I went BR over 5 years ago - just this month the OR submitted a PPI claim for a Credit Card I had 18 years ago and a personal loan from the same bank around 10 years ago.
Both claims were successful and the pay outs were a few thousands but went directly to the OR for both the loan and the CC.
  • Snap....same here and i'd been discharged 2006 (had loan & cards over 12+ years ago)......three sucessful claims and all went to receivers office
