Ryanair Web Check In

Can someone help as I'm confused!!

Travelling RA next week 4 passengers & 4 bags in the hold all paid for.

Done online check in today and printed tickets refer to 1 CABIN BAGGAGE ONLY but there doesn't seem to be anything about the bags going in the hold.

Have I done something wrong? Trawled through their website but doesn't clear up the query from me. Can anyone advise?

Thanks

Thanks - it's just that in the printed check in details etc I suppose I was expecting to see something equivalent to the labels that go around the case handles when you book in at the airport. Are these still issued when you deposit cases at the check in desk?

    Thanks

Yes, they will be sorted for you at the bag drop/check in desk.

I must admit, as a happy regular customer with Ryanair, the 'one hand baggage only' thing on the bottom of my online printed boarding pass had me worried for a moment. I remember thinking at the time this is going to confuse people, and judging by the posts on here it is!

I know they're heavily coming down on the only 1 piece of hand baggage, but it's almost like they're trying to confuse people here.

Thanks JJ - Yes I'm sure I'm not the first to think that they deliberately 'confuse' people as a means of obtaining additional charges etc if you have to go back and 'change' bookings

It's on the boarding card because Ryanair are sick of people who can't count up to one trying to get their hand luggage, back pack, handbag, a bag with enough food to feed the 5000 for a one hour flight, enough reading material to stock a well sized library, enough booze to open their own pub & enough smellies to make an alkie happy on board as "one bag".

They are now very strict on 1 piece of hand luggage and there is a warning on the booking confirmation that if you turn up at the gate with more than 1 piece (and that includes anything you buy at the airport) you will be denied boarding with no refund.

Spiro, as a regular user of Ryanair flights (between Stansted and Prestwick) they are still not really clamping down on this yet, the only staff I have seen have been Prestwick Airport staff asking people to sort out the bags before going to the gate.

Just done the online thing for the first time with RA. What a con..... you check in online and "drop off" your bag at the airport - implying a faster route to unload your bag.... but... you still queue with everyone else at the same check in desk - you just don't get tix from the miserable lady behind the desk and you only show the passport of the person with the bag to be dropped off! The "bag drop off" desk should be only for those who have done online check in not anyone and everyone....

Oh, and DON'T get me started on the waste of time in paying £3.00 for "priority" boarding !!! Haha. :rotfl:

Depends on large or small airport, if you are flying at peak time or not, ryanair will do different things at different airports. It won't be the same everywhere.
