VIP access - is it worth it?

Hi,

I'm planning to buy my nan tickets to the Creative Craft Show at the NEC in November for her upcoming 80th birthday.

As it's for a special birthday, I thought it would be a nice gesture to upgrade to the VIP tickets.

It's quite a difference in price though - the ticket is £12 and it's a further £35 for the upgrade.

The upgrade includes:
Fast Track entry
Mollie Makes magazine and a free gift
Exclusive use of the Shop and Drop area (no need to carry round heavy bags!)
VIP lounge area with unlimited hot and cold drinks
A pastry in the morning and a cake in the afternoon
Complimentary show guide

The magazine, drinks and cake don't really add up to £35 IMO although I appreciate the other aspects are valuable in themselves (not having to queue is I'm sure much appreciated when you're 80!) and I realise it's more about the experience as a whole than how it all breaks down.

I was wondering if any one has any feedback on going VIP at one of these type of events and whether you think it's worth it for the overall experience?
