Will carers allowance affect joint ESA claim income?

Hi Guys,
First post, long time lurker.
Here's the situation; My partner is living with me & I'm currently receiving income based ESA on the support group. It's a joint claim, with my partner on it.
I've also recently been awarded PIP; Enhanced daily living, standard mobility.
My partner cares for me over 35 hours per week so as today made an application for carers allowance.
If She gets awarded carers allowance, please can somebody give me the heads up on how this will affect my ESA financially?
I've had a search around, but I'm having difficulty finding a definite answer to my query.

The Carers Allowance will be deducted from the ESA claim and a Carers Premium added to ESA. Overall you will be about £35 per week better off than having no CA.0

That was a no nonsense reply, & I'm very grateful for your response.
I forgot to add; We have 1 child at 2 years old, and also a non dependant (22 years old) who's working.
Due to the recent award of PIP I'm led to believe we're now exempt from non dependant deductions of housing benefit, so will this still apply?
Also, will Child tax credits be reduced as a result?
Cheers again.0 -

Thanks a bunch, Poppy.
I recently received backdated PIP as it took circa 8 Weeks from the phone call PIP application to receiving the award.
I'm grateful for all replies. !!!55357;!!!56397;0
