    Hello Ladies,

My appointment with the Rhuematology Doctor was time consuming. I had to wait more than an hour after my allotted time before I was seen. :(

The Doctor gave me a prescription for Hydroxychloroquine. He also wanted me to have a steroid injection in my buttock by a specialist Nurse. :eek:When I tried to discuss why I was not keen to have the injection with the Doctor he was dismissive and did not listen to me. :(

I had a conversation with the Nurse about the medicine I had been prescribed and the steroid injection. She listened to my concerns and she assumed that I had been diagnosed with Rhuematoid Arthritis, but I had to explain that I was yet to be diagnosed. The blood tests had confirmed that I had inflammation in my body but not what was causing the inflammation. :( I chose not to have the steroid injection. :) The Nurse was happy to not give me the injection after I explained my reservations to her. She did try to consult the Doctor, but he had already left. The Nurse gave me the number for the Rhuematology helpline so that I can ask for support in between appointments or if I have any queries I would like answered the same day.

    Hello Ladies,

I had a really enjoyable evening at Karaoke on Tuesday. :D I sang 4 songs

    1. Fever by Peggy Lee

    2. It's Now Or Never by Elvis

    3. Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You by Andy Williams

    4. Hurt So Good by Susan Cadogan

I was supposed to go to a Jazz evening last night, but I decided to give it a miss as I was feeling quite exhausted.

It is the last ever Parents Evening for my son at his Sixth Form this evening. His latest report shows that his increased study at home has improved his A Level results so far. :D His exams start on the 16th May. I am hoping that he achieves 3 A's as then he can accept his offer in the London University that is his 1st choice. Only time will tell. :D

    Hello Ladies,

I got my Mandatory Reconsideration Notice and the decision to end my ESA claim stands. :( I will complete and post my Appeal tomorrow.

My Housing Benefit has been suspended again.

I have decided that I have to make a real effort to lose weight as I cannot continue to have hypertension and I do not want my enlarged heart to become worse.

I am making sure that I apply my sunscreen on my face and my body before I go out to enjoy the sunshine. :D

I am doing more walking as the Doctor advised me that I could not possibly do any damage to my heart or any other part of my body by increasing my walking every day. I hope that month by month I will be capable of doing more walking and will be able to do some form of exercise.

I may not write about my fabbing efforts in detail at the moment, but I am always aware of making an effort before I leave my home even when I feel that I do not want to be bothered. So I use perfume every day and sometimes layer it with the matching body lotion and body powder. I wear either solid silver jewellery or solid gold jewerelly with my outfits. On occasion I will make the effort to paint my nails and my toenails. :)

SugarThats not good news about your ESA, but from your previous posts, not totally unexpected.
I love walking, but dont often get to enjoy a nice leisurely stroll as more often then not, I am rushing around.

    Hello Ladies,

Chanie, I like to take a leisurely stroll rather than a brisk walk at the moment, but as I get fitter over the coming months I can change that to a brisk walk.

This is the 1st year since I started doing Race for Life 6 years ago when 2 of my brothers were diagnosed with Cancer, that I have to think about trying to improve my fitness and overall health so that I can definitely take part.

    Guilty Pleasure Night!!!! Eurovision. :rotfl:

Loving it, dancing around the living room to cheesy pop. What's not to like.....especially as there has been a distinct Game of Thrones vibe.

Serbia and Denmark seem to be in competition for the best beard. :rotfl:

SUgarbaby. So sorry to hear about your claim being denied. Keep fighting.

Hi everyone! LessonLearned told me about this thread so here I am :)

I have just (since January) lost two stone and look and feel so much better. I can wear clothes that look nice, instead of just those that fit, I can walk without feeling tired and my blood presusre and resting heart rate are way down. In fact the last two times I have taken it my bp has been normal, so I am going to ask my doc if I can come off the meds :)

I have also been going to the gym, just 20 mins doing rolling hills on the treadmill makes me feel good and also gives me two Weightwatchers Activity Points :). I try to go at least once a week. This is the first gym I have felt comfortable at. I have felt threatened and judged at others. I could not tell you why this one feels different, but it does. It is also the cheapest and I am not tied into a contract. All good.

It's about time I got dressed, so see you all later :)

    Good Morning Lovely Ladies

It's gone very quiet on here.....I hope it's because you are all still busy Being Fabulous.

    No backsliding allowed. :rotfl:

Well now I'm up with the larks this morning, full of beans. This is about the 4th day in a row that I have woken naturally early, fully refreshed. I don't know what I'm doing differently but I am certainly enjoying it.

I am not a natural early riser but when I do wake up early I often marvel on how lovely the mornings can be. Not managing to see the sunrises but even so I do enjoy the peace and early morning stillness.

Do you remember a few months ago I set myself a challenge....."A Year to Change My Life". Well as you may gather, the changes have not been startling but I thought you might like an update.

I have made a start by signing up for college and I have put my house on the market, but so far they are the only big changes.

I have reduced the amount of TV, I have become far more selective in my viewing habits. I still need to tackle the amount of computer time so that's my next mini challenge.

I have started getting a better social life but that is something else that also needs work.

So over all some progress but "could do better". Time to up my game.

So I have decided to resurrect my challenge and relaunch.

    Once more.

    Lights! Camera! Action!

    Roll 'Em.

"A Year to change my Life, Take 2".

    Morning ladies!

Long time no post! I think I will follow LL and do plan take two lol!

Since I stopped dieting and weighing myself constantly I lost a few lbs but now it's just staying the same. I would like to loose around 2 stone (think 3 is unrealistic and uncessary) before I go to Sri Lanka in Dec so that is about 1lb per week. Should be able to do that if I reduce my meals out and increase exercise a bit more!

I did race for like 5k pretty muddy yesterday which was good fun! We have decided to do it again next year but the 10k one

I discovered without training I could jog 5k but hurt for days afterwards. So need to properly build up to that then improve.

I must say the nice weather has made me like running as it's so much nicer in a park than inside on a treadmill!

Today I am going to do some house fabbing and paint my new cupboard in chalk paint to match the rest of the furniture. I also need to re-paint two of the chairs as I lost the will to live with waxing them before and now they are trashed! Lesson learned that I cannot skip that step! :o
