Is there something going on with the front page of the main site?

I see a different version sometimes when I open it then it changes again after I have logged into the forum.

Not complaining - just asking

Well spotted!

We're testing the new version on a small percentage of site users at the moment, rolling it out gradually until eventually all site users will be able to see it.

Looking forward to the tests being completed. What I get most of the time is, "Safari can't open the page" especially when attempting to post!

Don’t post often anymore but still check out the site a couple of times or more per week. Won’t be in the future the new home page is sorry awful.

Hi Anthorn, we're not making changes to the Forum at the moment. Wizard of Id's post is about the MoneySavingExpert.com home page.

If you're still having a problem with the Forum could you send a screenshot to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com please?

I know that. What I was referring to is connectivity, i.e. the site goes down a lot. But that looks to be resolved now.

It looks like I'm getting the new home page now. What surprises me is that probably MSE's biggest profit makers, energy comparison and credit comparison via the credit report section have been moved to rather inconspicuous links in a right-hand panel further down the page. Took me a while to find them.

Got a chance to compare both versions of the main site front page this morning.
The 'old' page is a lot more cluttered but strangely it is easier to find things on it, it's much easier to read and the sections make a lot more sense.

The 'new' page is more open with a lot of empty space and has no sense to it with similar subjects not even close to each other, even the weekly poll is on a different page so I tend not to bother with it.

Just loaded MSE Home page, showed old dense layout, with lot of news, links & articles, which I prefer

Closed window, loaded MSE Home page, showed new layout, more open & lot of empty useless empty space, lot less links, news, articles, which I don't like.

The new Home Page is rubbish !

Don't keep trying to reinvent the wheel !

I prefer to stay with old Home Page layout.
