Amazon kindle eBook reductions, bargains, freebies - post your finds here! 12th Mar 12 at 1:18 PM
It seems that Amazon has started doing short-lived reductions on some kindle books which are down to 20p or so for around 24 hours. I have not had anything official about this, but just noticed them in the kindle books 'movers and shakers' list. Some have previously been posted in this forum by myself and other helpful people, but it would be handy to keep them in one place.

So please post any short-term bargains here.

Please don't post details of the (huge numbers) of self-published books that are at low prices long-term (usually 79p)or free books - just genuine short-lived bargains.

Also, to avoid clutter, please also don't post links to the many books that are permanently available free. Here is a link to the top 100 Free Books in the Kindle Store: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Best-Sellers-Kindle-Store/zgbs/digital-text/ref=zg_bs_fvp_p_f_digital-text?_encoding=UTF8&tf=1

So here is one short-lived bargain I spotted today for 20p, ususally 7.71 (Edit: offer now expired - price now 3.99)

Rules of the Game by Neil Strauss: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rules-of-the-Game-ebook/dp/B005QEE22M/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1331558177&sr=1-1
Not read it myself, but it has a few good reviews

Also don't forget the ongoing Kindle Daily Deals (as previously posted) where a different book is available each day for 99p:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/feature.html/ref=amb_link_161849367_2?ie=UTF8&docId=1000577623& pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=right-1&pf_rd_r=1V6FWDY2986TX5AQM0GX&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p =270713247&pf_rd_i=341689031

How do I sort out by country on ereaderiq? I have signed up, listed myself as UK and it still gives me US titles. Which amazon won't let me download, grr! Unless I have just picked the wrong titles, certainly the 5 I have tried so far are US only ones.

There is UK version of the site (at the very top left of the page there is an option to "SELECT YOUR SITE:" with a US/UK flag next to it, clicking on the UK flag takes you to eReaderIQ.co.uk).

You should just register your details on the UK site. Unsubscribe from the .com site and then register at the .co.uk site just to make sure you don't get two lots of emails.

I've been getting the daily freebie list for the past few months and I highly recommend www.ereaderiq.co.uk, the price drops feature is pretty nifty too. I've got a ton of free books loaded into Calibre, so much so that I've not bought any for a while now. So I'm not at all sure about Amazon not making it easy to get free books, in my experience it's the exact opposite!

I figure I'll download any that interest me now because there can't continue to be that many free books available....

E:12/04 Kindle Spring Sale @ Amazon
Just seen this on Facebook so thought I'd share:

We can't think of a better way to welcome in spring than with a good book and the great outdoors. So make plans for a picnic at the park or a holiday at the beach, then grab your Kindle and go. But first, check out the Kindle Spring Sale where you'll find selected books from 0.99. The promotion ends April 12, 2012.

Pretty sure this has been posted previously, but http://www.ereaderiq.co.uk/ is a brilliant site for finding free kindle books. You can also register for a daily email notifying you of new free books added in the past 24 hours & also register a wishlist of books & you will be notified if & when the price drops. Happy reading!

The 20p books as posted above are still valid. I just got the PD James and also Torn, part 2 of the Trylle trilogy by Amanda Hocking - I got part 1 on a previous reduction. It's aimed a teenagers, so a light read, but good for 20p.

When I saw An Idiot Abroad for 20p when the RRP is nearl 9.00 I nearly fainted. Well worth the 20p though!
