The fabulous World Cup starts today! Exciting stuff!

It's a long way to Japan, but luckily most of our games are in the morning here. There's going to be a sedentary few fees in front of the television.

Wales has a hard group in pool D, England the easiest pool in C, it seems, and sadly Scotland and Ireland play each other in B.

Be good to see how the newer nations are developing.

England v USA this morning which I'll miss, as I'm hosting book group! 😣.

If it's not a very inspiring discussion, I might get rid of them about 11.30.

I'm going to miss the England game (or most of it) because I foolishly volunteered to do the grocery shopping expecting the offer to be graciously refused. As I said earlier on the thread, never take anything for granted!

Caught the England game. Well done.

Pity they showed poor sportsmanship after the full time gong, when they led 47-0 against 14 men, so kicking it out would have been good.

Result, their arrogance allowed the USA to get on the scoreboard.

Scotland will not be enjoying this Japanese performance v Ireland. Japan look the better team at the moment.

    Well done Japan!

Wow! Amazing result for Japan. They just overwhelmed Ireland in the second half.

OMG! Rugby? I love it I hate it! OH and I are still shaking after those closing minutes.

Australia were damn lucky to avoid a yellow card on two occasions as well

    What a game!

The first half was among the very best Welsh performances I have seen. Given previous history between these two, the second half was one of the longest 40 minutes ever.

Agree with Pollypenny about red cards especially the first one when there was clear intent.

Oh-oh, Hooper continues to be s bad sport, claimed the TMO was against them!

Forgot about the two potential yellow cards they got away with. I've just had a GIF saying 'Hooper has put Romain Poite on WhatsApp so he can continue chatting to him.'

Very good game from USA against France, who gave away so many penalties. Unfortunately, the Americans couldn't break through.

France woke up in the last 15 minutes.

Look like the All Blacks are going to hammer Canada.

63-0 to All Blacks. Very boring, in fact although Canada had two good bursts for the line.

Not impressed with NZ going for another try after clock went red. Not the best sportsmanship. Good job Beauden Barret dropped the ball.

Where are all last year's rugby fans?

In the office on my own, would it be wrong to keep checking the match?
